Dyno results?

After a couple of days on the dyno we managed to start correcting the ECU. Problem was that we were experiencing violent wheelspin the first day so they had to lift the suspension (for some reason) and plant the car down. Even then, there was violent wheelspin above 5k and 6.7k rpm turbo's themperature reached 400F and airintake 175F while on the Dyno. On the street .285F and 100-120 respectively. Max boost on Dyno 1.3 bar .....on the street it pulled steady 1.4bar. above 5Krpm EXT temp full thottle reached 1700F With some timing advancement this should be reduced.

I have not seen the dyno graph yet but due to wheelspin don't think it would do much good . I will take it to another dyno with some shaved slicks on my part. The are also getting a new engine Dyno next month so I may try that as well.

Max power appox 480KW@7200rpm (approx.650rwhp-745crank)
This is the weird part now . Max torque is 630ft @ 6000rpm. This has me confused. It may be because of the large Turbos and restriction of Boost in the low-mid range. It just doesn't make sense to me.
The car is progressive and solid up to 4K from 5K to 7k it pulls like 'hell'. (That was TTP's quote.)

Next Dyno Run should be end of next week. Hope it's a better one.

It was a full engine job. New titanium rods liners pistons, ported heads with larger valves, high lift custom cams, custom intake, larger throttle body, K-26 with k27 internals 8mm shaft Turbos large injectors secondary fuel pump raised fuel pressure. Two stage oil pump. Reinforced block, lightmass flywheel gt-2 middle housing gearbox gt-3r internals ss syncro's. The rest is the same as in a bolt on mod.

Elliot,

Very impressive. Your motor sounds just a bit better than my first motor. At 1.2 bar I believe I was at 636 rwhp and 609 rwt. Congraduation Elliot. I don't believe the maximum numbers are telling the whole story. With those titanium steel rods you are accelerating way faster than those heavy stock rods.

Elliot,
You mention "reinforced block" in your list. Can you expound on this? What was reinforced and how was it achieved?

KPV: I believe the reinforcing referred to was shuffle pinning the case (pictures were posted in another thread). Porsche has also changed to a "Made in Spain" engine case which is unique to the water cooled motors and looks to have some additional reinforcement not present on the 964 part numbered case.

I am a little confused....
1. Shuffle Pinning?? Please elaborate.

2. "Made in Spain" cases. I thought Elliot started with a standard water cooled 996 turbo case?

KPV,

Pins that are drilled into the main webs, closer to the crank. It helps to keep the crank from moving, especially at high rpm's and torque levels.

The newer cases were introduced in the 2004

Pic T1103 is what shuffle pinning looks like.

Thanks Chad. Can't wait to get it back. There are some traction problems that you had mentioned. Have to get Michelin cup tires on 18's. He has to set up the suspension now. Also we haven't added the intercooler spray yet. This is a must. I will add this later.
The light flywheel with titanium rods have improved throttle response and accelaration dramaticaly. Thank you for helping out in this matter.

We still have room to advance timing by about 3 degrees. This and Intrcooler fluid injection system will be done in June on the new dyno .
