Gt2 Ecu

Has anyone with a '02 or '03 GT2 upgraded their ECU to the '04 GT2 specs? Will the dealer do it? Any differences?

What do you mean upgraded to 04 specs? You mean HP wise? I didn't think that was even possible.

Just buy an 04 ECU and plug it in. Keep the old one if you want to sell the car. I think it is around $1600.

richard,

you can't buy an 04 ECU unless you have an 04 VIN...

and you can't upgrade an 03 to 04 witout the keycode which I am trying to get right now.

Anyone know what boost pressure the 2004 runs, I assume it is probably up very slightly, say extra 0.1 or 0.05bar. Peak for a pre-04 is supposed to be 0.95bar.

my boost read .8 to .9 bar. I believe US law prevents Porsche from changing the ECU between years due to EPA violations. I went with Upsolute reprogramming
