i dont see why you would pay anyone even a dollar to do this, preheat your oven to 200 degrees, pop in the headlight for 20 mins, pull it out, and pry off the plastic cover, that is all....you just have to be not stupid enough and yank it too hard and break it, if its not going easily, put in oven for few more mins and that should do it.

i have one painted black on the inside, the spare one...havent tested it on the car yet. i used high temp flat black paint

DJ...
You holding out on me??

I have been thinking about this mod for a year.

What do you reseal the light with?

This mod will be done on my car in the next few weeks. I think it will finish off the front of my car. Thanks for posting this.

when resealing, use black silicone(even if the oem glue is still somewhat intact) and REheat the assembly w/ the newly applied sealant for 6 minutes @ 200° before snapping it tight. this gets all the crevices fully filled.

yeah, black silicone and some reheating in the owen is the trick.

gary, sinus problems and negative temps don't really allow me to go mess w the car lol, but ill try and get a pic soon, although the lens is cracked so it wont really be a perfect example, but ill try to get a pic later on today

I did smoked headlamps, even if just using smoked laminate (stone guard) on them gives them a unique look.

I sent evodave an email inquiring about the cost, but I havent heard back yet.

Actually, all I want to do is clean the interior lense of my driverside headlight. It got cloudy/fuzzy. Like there is condensation or something...
Im nervous about opening the headlight myself, then having to seal it properly.

Tinting the lenses diminishes the light beam.

While it looks fine, I wouldn't sacrifice the efficacy, no matter the extent of the tint - but that's me...
