How much for 2003?

Have been looking to trade my 2003 996TT on a new 997TT and wondering the often asked question what is it worth. It is Slate grey over grey with the items shown below. Has some additional leather such as rear console, sunvisors, but no major after market add on. I do have Champion wheels, but would put the original wheels back on the car. It has just over 9000 miles, yea I know drive it more. Most of the time just too busy and it doesn't handle construction job sites too well. Anyway the best dealer offer for trade in so far is $69,000.00. Is that any good and should I try to sell?

They play games with the trade and the discount. Have gotten offer of 2000 off msrp on a 126,000.00 car.

Ok 57k! Your old car has 9k miles or? The problem is that it have only 9k miles! 57k to pay off is a lot. Ok two different cars. But I think if you sell the car private you can get more than 69k! Good luck. I don`t live in the USA but I knew the prices not very good but I can say a 03 TT with only 9k miles is more worth than 69k!

I've in the market for an 03, (x50) so you could say I've been following prices.

There may be plenty of cars "for 80k" but none SELLING for that, stock, without CPO.

69k is right at where these are selling at auction, which should be trade in. Probably pretty close to private party too.

You might get a few K more, but the market is pretty soft. Maybe someone will find the low miles worth extra... hard to say.

If you want manheim data send me your email via PM

i'm in the market to buy an 03 996tt also. have been looking for 1.5 months.

imho you may get 5 to 6k more private party, but thats about it. low mileage is nice, but there are alot of 03 996tt with basic pkgs. (ie no x50, certified warr, aero pkg, nice wheels, etc

the market is soft, if you in no hurry, list it. if you want the new car now then i say get the best trade you can, its alot easier, and faster.

good luck

Sounds like a very clean low mile 996TT. I'd list it for 10% more than the dealer offer and see what happens.

If you are buying new don't forget the tax savings. In Ohio you pay tax on the difference price. That would add 7% to the trade value.

That's a great scam for car dealers that they've been able to get in a few states. Automatically gives them a 7% on every trade! (ie they can offer 7% under a free market sale and it is an equivalent deal).

But yes, if your state does that it is a point to consider.
