Fabspeed Quiet - sound, vibration, resonance, etc?

So I dropped coin on a Fabspeed Quiet but have yet to install it (my TT Cab is due any day now) --

And I started reading the threads -- quite a controversy. Mine is a Cab which alieviate some of the resonance a bit but:

How much louder than stock is it (from the outside)

does it sound like a Honda Civic/Ricer

does it resonate to the point of driving one crazy?

Vipertestarossa, you had one and sold it -- why?

Apparently it has a humm in the 2,700-3,000 range -- how does that translate to driving at 30, 60, 80 MPH?

Thanks!!!

Good questions -- I would be interested in feedback, specifically re: MPH at those rev ranges -- I presume that if it gets "buzzy" that you just shift up or down.

Good power and sound but too much resonance with top up or down. Switched to Techart sport. Very happy!

I keep hearing about the "new and improved" Fabspeed quiet -- supposedly cuts down on resonance -- is this just a rumor?

Thanks.

Good point. I purchased a new Fabspeed Quiet less than 2 months ago. The biggest reason was because there was supposed to be no drone. I definitely have a very noticable drone from about 2000-2400 rpms which is a little disappointing because this is a good cruise rpm. It makes my eardrums tickle and I feel like I have to roll down the windows at times to help balance it out. Isn't their QUIET exhaust marketed as the system that has no drone?

The power is there which is good, but I am definitely not happy about the drone. I am surprised this is not brought up on the board more frequently.

That is exactly what I keep telling everyone. Finally some validation, thank you. I kept saying the drone was loud and horrible and everyone kept saying they didn't have drone. To me, and I had the EP LOUD, it was way quiet outside with huge drone inside. Terrible. I switched to the Cargraphic Super Sound and it sounds incredible outside with very little resonance. I also watched the recent Techart exhaust clips and that also sounds incredible to me.

Lou,

I just got the Europipe Quiet put on. The Quiet version definitely has no resonance. It does not sound as good as your exhaust but overall I am very happy. I have to admit that the Cargraphic is pretty nice.
