Hmmm...

I installed, and then swapped, and then reswapped exhaust a couple of times with jackstands and I can tell you that there are 10 bolts (8 for the turbo flange studs and two for heat shealds) and the rear mounts (2) and disconnected the four (4) 02 sensor connectors and fed them down (and then back up) for clearance/connection... I'm pretty sure I had an hour total each time I did this...

What kills me is I had a buddy pay $500 to have pads swapped and brakes bled. This is like, an HOUR at best??? There are a lot of guys with excess cash getting screwed out there... Educate yourself, and get a little grease under your nails... It will NOT kill you!

Oh, Did I mention I own a 7 figure company, and all my employees think I'm nuts???

It should only take a couple of hours, depending usually on whether the tips you have fit properly. Mine didn't at first unfortunately.

Mike thanks for the good info. You give the less mechanically inclined (like me) hope.

I swapped out my stock for a Euro as well. Not hard at all.
One tip - use a 2x4 and your floor jack to get the old one out, but especially to get the new one in. Makes it an easy one man job.

I'm small enough that I just used a rolling flat work bench (free with jack from autozone) to slide under and just pop it out and roll myself out from under the car holding the exhaust... Its not as heavy as everyone says. I'm 5'11.

Good luck!

p.s - remember if you do it, the straps slide out toward the sides of the car!

It will take about 4 hours to do it your first time.

Not a bad job.

Thanks for all the replies. I dont think I could do this myself. I took the exhaust to four different places in my small town today. None of them would even take on the job. I guess ill have to drive to a big city to have it done. Too bad the exhaust wont fit in the car. Ill have to take two cars to have this done. i hope its worth it and i like the sound of the exhaust.

They don't want to do it because they don't want to take on the liability of having an "Exotic" in there care... I was told this by two shops when I stopped in to inquire about a simple alignment.

Dude, you can do this yourself and I'd be happy to walk you thru it over the phone if necessary. It's truly not that hard... 12 bolts total... 4 each for the turbo flanges (13mm wrench/ Socket), 2 heat shield bolts (10mm wrench/ socket) and the two hanger straps at the rear muffler (mine were 13mm).

A jack and two jack stands, and disconnection of the four 02 sensors under the rear decklid, and you're good to go... 7/8th wrench for the 02 sensors (don't mix them up, but them in the exact same spot each came out of in the old exhaust, same side, same port).

It's truly that simply... couple to three hours... Maybe four at the most... DONE!
PM me if you want to tackle it...
Mike
