upsolute chip

Hi,
I am thinking about buying the upsolute chip, as John was telling me to.
How come the upsolute chip is only 500 vs the others which are 2k or more, I think?
For 500 bucks, the hp gain is well worth it!!
Has anyone had engine problems after chipping their cars?

Thanks for any help.

Khaiser

will the upsolute chip void the warranty of the car if something happens to the engine or transmission?

as long as the problem does not stem from the chip, you'll be fine....this applies to any ecu mod.

Khaiser,
If you think you're gonna be happy with about 500hp (slightly more if you add an exhaust), get the Upsolute. It's the best 5 hunley I've ever spent on a car mod. If you think you need more power or wish to upgrade to 600-700+ hp down the road, go with the GIAC tuners because they'll give you much more personalized service along the way. My Upsolute chipped car drives as smooth as stock. No engine problems after 2K miles, not even a CEL.

OKHJOON190,
Can't comment on the warranty. I used to worry about it but one day just said f&ck it!

John,
I am planning on the ECU, exhaust, DV's, headers, and Intake, and PSS9's and thats it.
What exhaust should I get, I don't want a very loud one, just one with a nice rumble.

Thanks
Khaiser

Techart Sport exhaust. No annoying drone inside the cab.

Like Turbo Ron, I love my Techart Sport exhaust. Not intrusive when cruising, but when you get on it past 4K it really comes alive.

Europipe and Fabspeed are also very popular. I believe each offers loud and quiet versions.

I used Lanny Richardson, the Upsolute rep in Socal. His number is 909-606-4368.

I removed my own ECU, shipped it to Lanny and he sent it back to me within 2 days. Since you are in Socal, you can probably just meet up with him somewhere. Lanny was a pleasure to deal with.
