hitachi maf GT700s - anyone w/ LWFW?

my car has a small stalling problem when driving around in city traffic semi-aggressively. it happens in spurts, repeats itself 3-4 times, and then it's done for the night.

does anyone else have this combo? if so, do you have any stalling problems?

(this is on 100 race file - never use the 91 file.)

I would get it when slowing down almost to a dead stop after I put the car in neutral.

Lwfw

I see this on occasion with my GT700 GT2 w/ LWFW. I also almost exclusively on the race file with 104 unleaded. Typically, it happens when coming to a stop from 3rd gear or beyond. The LWFW allows the rev's to drop too quickly and it will stall sometimes if I don't take it out of the lower gear fast enough. If I downshift prior to all stops (instead of just going from 3rd or 4th to neutral) or feather the throttle while
doing stop and go's, I can prevent it from happening. Seems like a LWFW issue allowing revs to drop too much although I did not have this issue with my GT700 TT. BTW, I don't have the Hitachi MAF. Hope this helps.

Happens to me once in a while. I am going to see if Todd K. can bump up the idle speed or advance the timing a bit to keep it from dropping down.

It is normal with the L/W setup to stall every now and then. The inertia is not there and when you throttle off the L/W drops so fast that the computer can not compensate faster than the flywheel slowing down and it dies. This was a serious issue on the 993TTs to the point we had to add some weight in order to keep the car steady.

Lwfw

It appears that the previous dual mass flywheel would have addressed this situation better. Wonder if GIAC vendors have an ECU upgrade fix?

the reason i asked specifically re: the Hitachi MAF programming was b/c i had no issues w/ the old GT700 programs.

w/ the first 104 file, i had major issues w/ stalling - every stoplight. w/ the newer 100 file, i just get them from time to time (hot or coool outside.) but when it happens once, it will be happen 2-4x more within the next few minutes. then everything is good again.

just wondering if i was the only one experiencing this w/ the hitachi gt700 programs w/ LWFW or not.

Yeah I have the same issue as well. Every once in a while the car just dies in the middle of the road at a traffic light and its quite embarrassing. Everyone looks at you as if you just killed the clutch.

Sorry about that. I cleaned it up. I have no idea what the hell happened. Site is a little whacked today. I even had issues moderating those post.
