Trick to adding air to rear tires with 19-inch wheels?
All,
I recently purchased and installed a set of 19-inch iForged Monaco wheels on my 996 TT. When I went to perform my weekly (er...monthly) tire pressure check, I discovered a bit of a problem. While I'm able to access the front valve stems just fine (I can check tire pressure and attach an air hose), the rear valve stems are significantly recessed. I tried four different tire pressure guages and two different air hose attachments; I couldn't get a single one to attach. Is there a trick to doing this, or do I need different tools? Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Do you think this is a specialty item, or can I purchase something like this at an auto-supply store?
You can get valve extenders at pretty much every auto part store.
By the way, I discovered a trick to make locating the valve much easier on wheels like ours. Ask whoever is installing your wheels onto your car to adjust the center cap logo to point to the valve. My center cap is the Porsche logo so I have the bottom of the sheild pointing to valve. A huge help on track days where I am constantly checking my pressure

You need something like this, but only have them attached when pumping air...

Like others have said, valve extenders are available from any automotive store or truck stop. Just be sure to remove it when you are done checking the pressure as 1) they tend to leak air and 2) they weigh as much as a small wheel weight so they can throw off the balance.
