Interior Swap... where can I find someone? Anyone interested?

2003 Turbo Coupe with 50k
Full Gray interior, in awesome shape.

I don't really like the gray interior and I would like basically any other color interior. I would really love to get a bolder color like Red, or Terracota... obviously I'm probably dreaming but just throwing it out there. But I'm really down for any color. I can get the swap done professionaly at a shop, with no cost to whoever wants to swap with me... I will take care of those costs. All details to the swap including some extra cash can be discussed.

If no one here is interested, can anyone direct me somewhere I might have better luck?

Honestly, I don't think you'll find anyone willing to do it, since Porsche gray is not very well liked. The way I see it, you have the following options:

1. Trade the car - Maybe extreme, but its the only practical way to get a whole new interior.
2. Add CF Pieces - These can really change the look of a plain interior.
3. Change out a few easy pieces - You can easily change seats (even upgrade to sport seats or GT3) and carpet.....go to colored dials, stuff like that.

Mr. D,
That's kind of an odd request, not that's it's impossible, but I've never heard of anyone wanting to swap interiors. GL with your search.

lol, yeah I figure its not well liked. When I had my M3 and was on that forum I remember tons of people tried to get rid of their gray interior when they bought used. Luckily I had Jet Black/Imola Red... I loved that interior, I ordered it like that.
This time I bought used and the price was great so I sucked it up even though I didn't like the interior.
I think I am just gonna do a full custom interior if I don't end up finding a swap. If I do the custom I'll definitely be getting the GT3 seats as well.

Hey man, thanks. Hopefully I might even find a full interior from a track conversion.

Interesting, when I sold my wifes M3 Convertible the Imola Red was a hindrance - took finding the right person as most wanted black or gray.

GL with the swap.

lol I've actually heard that before. I've witnessed a few of these M3 swaps myself. Some of the M3 guys were paying some pretty pennies for that Imola interior. Thanks buddy

Thanks dublinoh, I appreciate the direction and link. I was thinking about calling someone like that. I'll give them a call on Monday. I'm sure they will either have it or know how to get it, they have a lot of items in their eBay store. Thanks again

It seems in this odd world there is a buyer for everything. I couldn't find a red 911 Turbo for the life of me. The second I got one, everybody tells me it is a color nobody wants.

Same goes for a Smurf Blue M3. I think it is hideous, my buddy spent 3 months looking for one.

Who would have thunk it?

Saying goes.."To each his own"

There is a god awful red on a 2005 that had been for sale for ages.... I guess people ultimately make peace with their color choice by the time they own it. Trick is to find someone before then...

As was said, do seats, maybe carpets and trim pieces (CF or paint). Prolly the best bet unless you get real lucky
