window up and down articutaltion?

Not really sure what it is called but mine is broken anyone had this fixed or know what it should cost?

The mechanism mounted inside the door that moves the window up and down is call a window regulator. There is also the motor and its related fuse and switches; the motor drives the regulator, which connects to the glass. I’ve read that failure of this regulator assembly is not uncommon, but be sure to check for a blown fuse, etc.

Not only does mine not seal when I open the door and whatnot, it doesn't roll down either. Just makes some ugly noises. Does this sound like a window regulator as well?

If you can grab the window and move it up and down by hand, its definitely a regulator.

Yeah, I can move it quite a bit.
Do I need to watch out for cheapo repo parts while I'm shopping for this part?
Any recommendations on cheapest decent replacement?
