Volks TE37 and lug nuts

I just bought a set of Volks and I just want to confirm that the standard Porsche lug nuts will work with these wheels. I posted in the wheel section but no response yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

as long as you didn't redrill your hubs , you should be fine with any stock lug bolt on any wheel.

unless you need extended ones for spacers.

I'll be posting pics when they're mounted for sure.

The only reason I ask is that some guy online is selling these wheels and he claims that the holes are conical and that the ball seat on the standard lug nuts won't seat properly. I'll see if I can verify this tonight.

i'm pretty sure that any standard lug nuts are conically seated on a wheel. just take a look at your regular lug nuts, it should just be rounded right past the threading

Hi. Yes, the stock lugs will work just fine. Unfortunately the late model Porsche lugs are also prone to becoming butt-ugly after "use". They become discolored, patchy, rough, and rusted even. Because the style of the Volk exposes the lugs quite a bit more than stock, I recommend that you look into getting a new set just for aesthetic reasons.

definitely, just go to your local wheel shop and pick up a set. it shouldn't be more than like 40 bucks for a nice set

Sure was thinking of moving to Ti lug bolts but I'm not sure who makes them and how much they cost. The standard bolts are pretty heavy and I figure getting some Ti bolts could drop some weight. Some other options are to buy lug nut caps or to have my lug nuts anodized. As of right now, I'm going to see how the lug nuts look as is. Opinions/comments?

OK did a search.

Maybe just say no to Ti bolts for now....

Here are some pics with the bolt/wheel. And btw, you're right. The bolts do look beat up but appear to fit quite nicely. Also, one of the guys on another board said that the bolt has extend 1/2-5/8" to be ok.

OE caps wont fit. The Volk uses a 70mm cap, Porsche 76mm.
