PSE Hack Done

Well, got some mufflers from an 03 c4s and got the PSE hack done to them with 2.25 stainless piping. Shop charged me 225 to modify the mufflers including the stainless pipe he used. Did a great job, it was pricey compared to what most people said they were paying to get it done, but I had a hard time finding a shop that said they could do it confidently. Gotta say the exhaust sounds great, and is very noticeably louder then stock. I will post up a video for you all shortly. Def. a worthwhile mod if your not sure about dumping a grand into a new set of mufflers! PS I have C4 tips for sale if your interested or their goin up on ebay. Video and pics to come soon, promise.

I have the same thing. But now I want to hack the exhaust using the 997 cans instead. With by-pass pipe connect from the inlet to the outlet. Not from the nipple to the outlet. This way the sound should even better without the muffler can and its baffle.

Why did you use C4S cans for your C2?

I used the C4s cans because they are the only ones I could find for sale. They are the same mufflers, but just have a longer crossover pipes that the tips attach to since its a widebody. From what I heard 997 muffles will NOT bolt up?

Any good muffler shop provide mandrel bent can work on it. Drill a 2 in. hole on the nipple of the muffler and weld a 2.25 SS tube to the outlet pipe.

If you want this set up, I sell them to you.

The shop I had the work done by used a torch to cut of the "nipple" on the muffler and is a full 2.25 inch hole/pipe from that into the outlet pipe. I just realized I didnt take pics of the mufflers before I put them on the car, guess I was too antzy. For those curious do a search over on rennlist, theres lots of info. I will post the sound clip soon, trying to compress it but still have the clip sound decent. The tips are up for sale on ebay if interested by the way.

2 muffler cans with by-pass pipes. Plug & play. Use your own tips. $200 with your core.

Note that this mod is done on the 3.6L cans, not the 3.4L. There is a different mod on the 3.4L cans which is a smaller pipe directly between the inlet and outlet.

I have a modded pair I just purchased that am waiting to install, but I am debating if I want to go aftermarket instead...
