Flickering Brake Lights??

Just had my audio upgrade done (post on that later). One problem I've noticed is that my brake lights are either not coming on, or they slightly flicker when the pedal is depressed. Sometimes the break lights will come on every few pumps. I figure this is a nicked wire or something, but not sure. They're looking at it today/tomorrow.

Fuse is good. Brake sensor under dash appears fine (plunger works, wire connector is secure). It's not a bulb issue since it affects all 3 rear lights. Breaks work fine when driving.

2004 C2 Cab

Any ideas?

I had a light issue like that. It turned out to be a loose headlight connection.

When I removed the headlight I found that the plug at the frame side was not secured by its' clip. After securing it and putting light back in, all was well.

It's all 3 break lights ... would one loose bulb do that to all the other lights?

Just removed both rear light fixtures (one at time) and problem did not go away. Unless it's in the 3rd brake light, this isn't a bulb issue.

Any other ideas?

Mine was a headlight issue. The plug it goes into was loose. It affected all the lights when I went over bumps. Remove your headlights and check those.

It was a fault brake sensor. $21 fix. Thanks all!
