Why I am so happy right now
I don't see much of my P-car... but this past week I was in town to pull it out of storage and put a couple hundred more miles on it... I can not believe how much I love this car. I keep figuring i'm going to move back out west so while i'm in Boston the car stays out west. Check out the total mileage in 3 years of its life
The thing is barely broken in.

and one crappy night shot, but you get the point

I seriously couldn't wipe a smile off of my face for the entire time I was in it. All thoughts of selling because I never use it went right out the door.

Driving a Pcar after a long period is one of the best feelings around! Sometimes after a long day at work I'll pull it out and just take a drive around town. I find myself looking for excuses to drive it: 1. Get gas. 2. Head over to the autoparts for supplies. 3. Wash it-actual just clean it up. Just looking for any excuse to drive it. Never thought a car would make me smile also!
Because I spend the vast majority of my life surrounded by pretentious *** holes like you (but legit and usually enjoying their own hard earned money rather than their parents') and every once in a while its refreshing and good for me to visit some old friends who are proof to me that it doesn't take much financially to be genuinely happy.

It'll be a month or so before I see her again

already can't wait.
Next time you go back to visit her, do an oil change. I barely drove my 996, 2002 with 8k miles and I had this "mayo" build up around the oil filler. The fix was to drive it to get rid of the moisture. So now I do an oil change very frequently and have started using it as my daily. When starting it up for a bit and go on short drives the moisture would just build up and instead of evaporating.
As Dwn and Ben mentioned, mechanically, the worst thing you can do to a car is not drive it.
Also, why pay big bucks for a fancy Porscha and not drive it? Give the money away to charity instead ... don't waste it on depreciation.
