Had the chance to drive this car and take some pics of it. Pretty nice, but it aint no 911!
To those who photograph cars from another moving vehicle, wow, a lot tougher than what it seems (at least with the crappy roads we have here..)

Well, the car is extremely refined when it comes to ammenities, but I was amazed at how rough the suspension actually is! I would compare it to my RoW M030 (rough unto itself, at least on the mediocre roads we have here). Extremely quiet, much more so than the 996. It felt as if the acceleration was on par with my car. What it did feel was "heavy". I drove a RS4 a few months ago and that car felt a tad lighter and more muscular. The seats were extremely comfortable. I would have liked more "blip" on the downshifts as they were barely noticeable (compared to a F430). Being Lexus' first try into the sports arena, I am extremely impressed. We had some fun as the mpg indicator demonstrates
All these so-called sports sedans look alike. And they're incredibly overweight. Why bother? PORSCHE.THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE.

It's a typical Lexus with an atypical engine choice. Having been the proud owner of two Lexi [sic] they did some cool stuff with it but still have the same problem with a car when you make it luxurious, which is a somewhat benign steering feel and feedback. You simply can't create an insulated environment and maintain driver feel—at least a teutonic one.
In my opinion, life is all about compromises and finding the right balance for each person. It can't be a full luxury car and feel like a 911. It can't be a M5 and yield 30+mpg. It can't be a Lotus Elise and handle rough roads with aplomb. Would I trade it for my car? No, but sure is nice!

I dont disagree, I think Lexus are great cars. They're just not very engaging to drive. I absolutely swear by Lexus when it comes to reliability, build quality, and luxury engineering—just not as a sports car. Sporty touring car? absolutely! stuck in traffic? you bet! Feedback and feel, well, no comment is necessary.
