Ride height with Coilovers?
I was wondering if you guys who have coilovers would do me a big favor....
I'm about to install a set of JIC Cross CO's and am trying to get an idea of the initial settings for height.
With the H&R springs, my car currently sits approx 25.5" off the ground F&R when measured from the floor thru the centerline of the wheel to the fender well.
With my front spoiler, I don't think I can go much lower than around 25".
Could some of you measure yours and tell me the height you are sitting at?
Thanks in advance.
Terry

height
Dont mean to post on your thread but I have a similar question....
The front fender has more gap between the tire and the fender than the rear does. I measured fender height (front) and quarter panel height (rear) and they are the same but the gap is larger on the front.
Is it a problem to lower the front a half inch more than the back? It would make the wheel well height different but the gap on front and rear would be the same.
Just want to make sure it doesnt throw anything else off.
Thanks

you actually want the gap in the rear slightly bigger than front since we have this heavy **** thing called an engine sitting way back there.
and you don't necessarily want to adjust by gappage and more by having the car look as level as possible. a lot of dudes think the rake look is cool... i don't.... unless you're into the dragster look.

I had mine set to GT3 street specs, a knowledgeable alignment shop should be able to set the proper heights (it's in the computer).
Good luck with the coilover install and let us know how they work out!
PS - Fly, your pcar looks sweet!

It appears that many are lowering the front more than the back to level things out. I measured the gap in the front to be 3/8"-1/2" more than the rear.
Im putting a PSS9 system on next week and I am going to lower the front a bit more.
You would think that the engine in the back was planned for and the weight of the motor should not change the stance. My NSX has a mid engine design and there is not a gap difference.
Does anyone know why the gap in the front is more? I saw on previous posts that it was to be compliant with USA bumper heights but I don't know if that is true or not.

Porsche suggest measuring from designated chassis points and lists their suggested ride heights to said points.
