Around $3,000 to do it the right way which is facelift and turbo bumper. They make replica turbo bumper for the MKI style headlights but it does not look right.

Turbo bumper - $500 (used)
2 fenders - $800
headlights - $1000 (used)
misc hardware and headlight bracket - $200

and about $500ish for paint.

And this is for the front end only. I would imagine the rear end is going to cost $5000-7000 to put new quarter panels in along with new rear bumper and new tail lights.

i had better save money to buy a 911 turbo in afew next years.

Rear end is about 10k....parts labor and paint...thats with steel porsche panels, no fiberglass....front end is about 3-5k....so look at 15k on body, not including wheels that you will need to fill out the widebody rear fenders. Unless you get a car CHEAP ( ie a salvage like the Wicked cars) its usually not even close to being worth it.

its a big project. finding wrecked parts would be your best bet. 15 k on body is a lot, not to mention the engine upgrades.... it might be cheaper to just get a turbo.

as someone that has done a crazy conversion....start with the TT or just do something simple to your car such as a MKI GT3 front bumper. I started my car before the GT3 was released. If i could do it over again I Would have a 996GT3 right now

from my perpsective.. try and start with the best "base" that you can. we all love to make our cars (and homes and anything we can think of) have our own personal touch and make it a little different. just for the OP that asked the question, it is one thing to upgrade bumper covers to one that you like better if you love your car as it is, but something totally different if you want the wide body on top of that. You can deals on bumper, side skirts and make your car look like a MKI or MKII Gt3 and be into it an extra $5k and love it. just don't expect to recover that money.

As I said before my car has been done for a while, and if it wasn't for an insurance claim it would still be the same as before. headlights are alot of money along with all new parts. I love my car all around and it is truly unique so it always stands out from the crowd, but i also made it perform at the track and live up to the badge on the hood and to how it looks.

updated with 996 04 rsr front end and headlights-

996 GT3 RS wheels

custom interior w/ Alcantara everywhere including doors, upper dash pod, rear 1/4 panels, roof pillars, 03 sytle suede headliner, -3 style center dash w/ cupholders, TT leather shifter and ebrake, custom gauges by Meister gauge faces, ruf pedals and Short shift, red suede seat inserts (GT3 euro seats), carbon door pulls and door trim, color matched seats, roll bar etc

custom MA Shaw air duct and 997 GT3RS gurney lip- smoked 3rd brake light

alll of my suspension is updated with KWv3, GT3 cup sway bars (installed by TRG) TRG Drop links (getting replaced with Agency Power via Vivid racing) mono-ball units for amber plates, Agency Power rear control arms, and some other stuff
