Am I crazy???

I have an 01 C4 with metropol blue interior. While I like it I really want black. Is it crazy for me to try and find someone with that interior that would want to trade? I have done this many times with other cars but never a P car.
I just don't know how much work there would be and if it would be worth it. My car is silver so it looks fine I just perfer black.

I've done it on my RX7 and it is alot of work. You will have leftover squeeky sounds...guaranteed. Just sell it and get the color you want.

Unless there is something significantly sentimental with your car, I would sell it to buy one with the color I like.

It was just a thought, I have done a bunch of work to the car so I won't sell it. It isn't that I don't like the blue I just would perfer the black. I will just stick to plan B and that is keep this one and buy a Turbo in the future so I can have both.
Thanks for the thoughts.

It is possible to buy the carpet kit in the color you want, pull the trim and re-dye the leather. It's really not the complicated and we have done it to a number of cars (my own seats and carpet included) If it's something you really want to do it can be done, just takes a little work to go slow and do it right.

that's dumb thinking... your TT is gonna continue to depreciate... and the 997 is just that much better.

save your money and get the newer one while driving the snot out of your existing one

Don't get me wrong, I do really like the blue but I also really like the black. I will get a 997 TT down the road and will be driving them both regularly. I also want a replica 356 Speedster but that is a whole other story.

Hope you're not crazy, since I have been thinking about the same!

Maybe somebody with experience with leather re-dying would have an idea on how much work it would be to re-dye a complete metropol blue leather interior including seats, dashboard, doors, celing, steering wheel, centre console,.... ?
