why hasn't my car sold
There are people out there who are only going to want a silver, grey, black, or white Porsche because every Porsche is silver, grey, black, or white that they have ever seen...and they want one too. However, there are those that will want something a bit different, like yourself, and will gravitate to the reds, yellows, blues, greens, etc. You just have to wait until those people are in the market, and find your car. If your price is too high, but they are interested, they will call and see if you are willing to deal.

I've been searching 996s lately as I'll be in the market for one this summer. So, as a future buyer, I'll give you some insight. I think the milage is a little high, I'm looking at the 35-45k range. I think your price is just about right for the car.
There are two things I think you can do to more the car much faster. First, if you can do it, list it for $24,999. It's a loss of $1500 from what you are asking now, but the human brain only sees that it's less then $25k. There is a reason every thing you buy in a store is either $x.99 or $x.95
Next, spend some money on having a photographer photograph your car. The whole reason any of us what these cars is becuase they look damn good! If you pics don't show this, you loses one of the biggest drives for a person to buy a car.
Now, I'm a automotive photographer, so I a little bisised. Here are two pics I took on the same day, of the same car with the same camera gear (for a How To article on photographing cars) (Mods, sorry about the WMs on the images, hope it is ok since they are to help the OP, not promote my work) ...

While the first photo is nice and shows the car well, it's the second image that makes you say "Damn, that car looks good!" (even it it's not a Pcar lol).
I really think if you are having a hard time getting people to come look at the car, better pics will help in that department.
Good luck with the sale!

Payment from a buyer cleared yesterday. $24,500.
I'm sad to see it go to Canada though
One another note, I now have a set of agency power mufflers and a set of muffler by-pass pipes for grabs if anyone is interested. PM me
