The plenum can be done for much cheaper....there is just not that much science to it. You can have a decent performance shop fab one for you for probably $50...I can't justify spending $800 on a plenum...I don't care if it takes you back in time

Hi,
I added a plenum plus a CAI and the C4S runs and sounds better. At WOT it really puts out a great sound! Now . . . I'm looking for an exhaust system that will enhance the sound of the car, if not its performance. Do you have any recommendations other than the Porsche Sport Exhaust(oem) or maybe an after market type? Thanks

I recently put a Tubi on my 4S... the sound is awesome! Its not terribly loud... but it has a proper growl. I'd highly recommend it.

Hi Jacaba,

I run a Cargraphic Import Sport Sound Exhaust System w/ Cargraphic 200 cell Sport Cats on my personal 996 C4S and the sound and added performance is fantastic.
There is not a day that goes by out on the road without someone asking what I'm running and commenting on the great sound.

Obviously that's my personal opinion - but the Cargraphic does it for me.

Bryan

Thanks for the advice! Tubi has always been on my list but doesn't it make a very large "growl?" I'm trying to find a nice video that shows a C4S at wot and idle. Aren't these C4S'es the best? (What a "behind."

i've been looking into SCing mine, i've looked at all the engine mods and they just don't seem to make enough considering how much it costs

Thanks! I've been researching Cargraphic, too, and am still looking for a sound byte that shows it on a C4S at wot/idle. I'd like to to hear more. Thanks for your expertise and your C4S looks grand by the way.

FWIW - I was deciding between Cargraphic and Tubi... when an awesome Tubi deal fell in my lap. I had thought seriously about PSE (its what everyone will tell you, hands down, sounds awesome)... but considering you dont really pick up that much HP (if any), I thought at the very least the money spent would go to weight loss. The Tubi was VERY light weight in comparison to OEM/PSE.

Bryan, that 4S looks rediculous. Love the wheels.

996 Carrera 4S

Thanks for the kind words on the C4S, I've had a number of Porsches and I really love the C4S. In addition to the Cargraphic Exhaust and Cargraphic Sport Cats, the car has IPD Plenum, Revo Software, Upgraded Throttle Body, B&M Shift Kit, PSS9 Coilovers, RSS Sways, RSS Adjustable Rear Link Kit (Dogbones), 19" Cargraphic Racing Wheels Powder Coated Satin Black, Black Ceramic Coated Factory Exhaust Tips, Tequipment Rollbar (Eisenman), Cargraphic Alcantara GT3 Steering Wheel, Cargraphic Sport Pedals, Alcantara Shift Boot & Center Arm Rest, a Few Carbon Fiber Goodies, Motul Fluids, and the list goes on.....

I'll film and record a short video soon with sound and post it up with the link, so you can hear the Cargraphic Exhaust....

Bryan
