Hello 996ers. I just installed a 24 LED strip in super white. Its is much brighter than the filament festoon bulbs. I like the super white color compared to the yellowish stock bulbs. Im open to all opinions either good or bad so start shooting away. I didnt black out my lisence plate number so the light can be seen but of course there a little editing

 

It's nice to make your license plate brighter for cops to read...

 

I like it looks cool might be a little to bright for me.Do you think you will have problems with cops,because it does reflect off the road a lot.I know here in NJ cops will pull you over for little stuff like that.

 

Sure thing. They will pull you over regardless if they cant read.

 

Yeah in Florida They arent to picky about things like this. This will actually scream "Hello here is my tag number". As long as they can read it your good

 

Good luck i was thinking of just changing the bulbs to something not as yellow i'll see what i can come up with. Now you need to get the new LED tail lights that we are doing a groupbuy on soon......

 

How much are you guys spending on the led taillights on the group buy?

 

I'm pretty sure if 10 or more people get them it's only $575

$575 so the cops can read the plate better. No thanks. Now, is there a bulb that meets the absolute minimum illumination requirement? That I would pay for!

Good call? $575? Both of you guys are not reading with whats going on. The $575 are the led tail lights that have nothing to do with the license plate. the license plate led is something else. I have a great Idea for the least amount of illumination for your tag. Take both bulbs out. Hope that helps

 

looks pretty good. where did you get the led strip and did you have to cut and splice the wires to work. Unlike some people, I have nothing to hide from the cops..I even have a front plate on Its just reverse pyschology really..give give them everything and they think there is nothing wrong

 

haha ooops, sorry I did miss that! Yeah, they deff look better than stock. I didn't know they offered led tail lights for the 996.

 

Yeah, it seems I did not read the reference was to another thread. Sorry. Also, I am trying to take the bulbs out of the license plate area. I'll let you know how that goes on my next bank hold up as I pull outta there fast - at night.

I do like the rear LED tail lamps (on the other thread). I'll have to consider those. Very nice!
