Alarm on/off audiable alert?

Has anyone managed to get this done on the OEM alarm? I found a thread that explored this but died out with no resolution...

Two options.
1st leave the center console open. You will get a beep from the alarm horn when arming the car. It is telling you the center console is not armed.
2nd look down inside the center console latch. You will see a small silver flat piece of metal. This is the alarm contact switch. Push is back in the console housing with a small screw driver. No you can keep you center console closed but it is not longer armed. This is reversable.
Both ways work if you own a coupe. Not so good if you own a cab.

you can also click the FOB twice fast...this will give an audible alert and deactivate the interior IR sensors.

Good deal. Mine has been that way for 6 months now. Is was one of those little thing that I really wanted. Lots of research and a very simple answer.
Now if it would just not sound so wimpy.

As an alternative, you can do the blinking side marker lights mod, which will enable you to see the side markers when you set the alarm.
