Can a 996 carrera 3.6 run with a ferrari f355?

 

Straight line? hwy? road course? It may be close and come down to the driver. I think the 355 has a little better acceleration off the line.

A 996 will run fine with an F355 and if the 996 is a GT3 it will have similar performance to the F355

 

GT3>355 performance wise. Id say close to a 360. 996 is very close to a 355.

 

355 will break down while running the 996... so yes.

i raced a F-355 on the hwy in my buddies Acura TL Type-S, that was sad...

PS: i think F-355 is just to out dated, look into a F-360 atleast, which also i hwy raced in my 996, that was fun

NOTHING will kill my inflated ego! Haha, I dont see anyone claiming a 911 would actually beat with a 355, save a GT3 which most probably would.

RE. acura comment, I think he meant it was sad how bad the acura lost... at least thats how I understood it. Plus, street racing may be different in the middle of the desert, or whichever place he is from.

Doesn't matter to me, my 996 is gone for something quicker

 

Nola, point taken. Maybe I was too quick and too harsh. It is these Ego chains that got me off this forum. When I left it was M3 vs 996 or STi vs 996. No matter what they are ridiculous. If it is all about being the fastest or baddest then perhaps get a Z06 modify it and call it day if that is what matters.

News flash, a tuned Honda could stomp on a 996. How about a blown 73 Pinto? Point is enjoy the cars for what they are. A Porsche 911 of any type is an amazing machine. It might not always be the fastest it might not be the best but it is awesome. It is and always will be an icon. It is an amazing piece of modern machinery. So is just about any Ferrari. The two cars are totally different in just about every way. A Porsche is precise and clinical. A Ferrari is raw emotion and just plain fun. *Hairdresser convertibles not included.

So appreciate them all. But if you want to bash then bash Lamborghini. Kidding....
