I'd do a search on here, I just recently did. There are a ton of posts discussing the two supercharger options that are available for the 996. Unfortunately I live in the Communist State of California and neither is currently CARB approved, so it's only a dream for me at this point.

Pro: more power!

Con: costs money

We carry the VF Engineering kit which is designed to function with all the OEM components including the clutch assuming you haven't beaten on it too hard.

Maintenance levels are also very low.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have the TPC and have had the VF on another car.

There is an all out diatribe on here about superchargers. They should set a new forum called the great SS-Debate.

With that: I can not say more great things about the TPC kit. I just returned from a 4000 mile trip from south Texas all the way through every mountain range between there and Virginia. A Vortech style kit is actually a very different drive and feel than a roots style charger. VF's kit is nice and does require a bit of messaging to worj through the kinks of installtion and setup. The TPC kit (to me) seems to be much better when you want to employ the GEN-Y "Plug-n-Play" concept. Personally I like the TPC kit much better. It is very linear across the power band and the torque and horsepower boost comes in instanly with the VF kit builds boost as pressure and rpms increase.

There are guys who will fight to the death over their opinions on which SS kit is better and that is not my point but there is a reason that TPC Racing has oh-so-many Rolex wins under their belt.

You forgot to mention that your horrsepower flatlines at a little over 6,000 rpm and your torque drops like a rock beginning at 5,000 rpm until it drops 20+% off the high.

I would buy a TT these days before putting money into a C2 or C4S. Better reliability, modability, and resalability!

Can you please quote a TPC sc kit for my 2004 996 c4s.

Just give us a phone call and we will walk customers through any part of the install that there might be any confusion with.

Sorry to hear about your issues, but when done right, a supercharger is a great cost effective modification for those who want the performance of a Turbo.

TPC improved their SC for the 996. See link above. You won't find this infor on TPC's website yet, though (per Casey at TPC).
