high mileage
No kidding, my other cars are Infiniti Q45's and one has 265K miles and I don't ever think about it breaking.
104k on 1st engine, bought second w 40k miles and put 9k miles on it. Replaced belt, plugs, all fluids, fnr brakes, mufflers, tops, control arms x3, sway links x4, bonnet rubber thong under wing, coolant reservoir, brake light switch, window pulley system (driver side), a-ton of tires, and all filters....
I agree... I'm curious to see high miles on the 996. I have a 1988 Dinan BMW 535is. I have 345k on the car and beat the **** ot if it everytime im in it!!! I couldn't dream o breaking it... when its time to go i gues she'll fail on me.. oil changes and wires...
I have @102,000 miles on my original engine in my 1999 996 C4. I bought the car at 60,000 miles and only have replaced, Tires, Brake Booster, Cam Seal and Window Regulator. She runs so good, i just put the Vivid Racing VR996 Turbo Kit on.
99000 on my 01 996 had to replace the rms and a couple of coil packs but other wise runs great. I suspect the rms went out a year ago due to being exposed to the cold NYC weather when it was in the south teh rest of it's life. Oil changes done every 15k or once a year as recommended.
Really??
I have a 2003 Audi Allroad 2.7 T with 161,000 miles on the odo. Pulls like a mule, consumes no oil, looks and drives like brand-new. I truly believe all 996's should reach 150K miles without any engine and / or gear boxes exploding and / or seizing due to the alphabet soup RMS - IMS - PMS features built in to the design! .
