83K on my 02 C2 and having Raby's do the IMS solution so I can get another 100 or 200k worry free miles at least from the intermediate shaft anyway...

Love this thread and totally get the garage-queen mentality . . . REALLY

That said, I bought my C2 to drive it and in fact, I veered away from multiple TTs with the expectation that I would be too worried about it! This C2, I have had for only two weeks and I have done nothing but drive it everywhere with no worries and no regrets. I've had cars to admire, driving them is soooo much more fun. Congrats to the high mileage cars out there, who cares about resale when you love the drive everyday! KH

I think I saw that one on Craigslist while I was looking for a 996. If I remember right the picture make it look sort of a salmon color.........but the stated color was silver so I chalked it up to odd lighting.

Hello again! I decided to keep my C2 and forget buying another motorcycle. I now have 144k on mine and drive it daily. Serviced regularly at 3-5k miles intervals. Car is still pristine and handles great. Have given up my quest for the Super Lite kit car. Have my sights now on a Ford GT. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I'll change my mind again.

Just past 166k on original/unopened motor...I'd be lucky to get 11k due to miles even though car looks/feels new with regular maint and upgrades
The 996 is worth at least 50k to me if I had to put a price to it so I guess I'll have to keep it forever...
