Thank you baby JESUS for the track time!!!
Thank you baby JESUS for the track time!!!
Haven't been on a while and will tell all about my 4000 mile cruise in a day or so but I have to share another horrible-Dallas-driver moment.
Coming up the Tollway this afternoon, I was in the middle lane of a three lane road. From the inside left lane comes a brand spanking new Cadillac with a completely brand spanking old lady. At speed, did the swerve to avoid that hit and just happened to check my passenger mirror not two seconds before. I went hard to the right, felt the rear start to come, got on the gas to keep it from coming around and moving forward. I thoroughly believe that had I not had 335's on the rear and a very, very ample amount of track time in the last ten years, I would have been sitting on the wall I hsould have hit and waiting on a tow truck. I have no big baller attitude about it either becasue it actually scared the crap out of me. just thought I would share tha part of my day.

Spending some quality time at a track in your 911 is the #1 way to really learn how to control the car. The way it can be steered with your right foot, the delivery of power exiting a turn, how to balance the car under corning - learned on the track - all will help you be a better and safer driver on the public roads. Nice save & thanks for sharing.
About how fast were you going?
If you were on the lower end of the toll road the walls are tight and tall not a fun place to start to loose control.
I was watching a show about what to do if a motor home blows a tire.( the show was doing this with Prevost 50,000 pond vehicles) their point was to step on the gas to keep the momentum going just as you had instead of slowing down which will allow the side momentum to generate more motion

I was going about 75 with everyone else. We were on the lower end in the new section.
I was at the gas station this morning and a guy getting gas in his benz said he saw it yesterday afternoon and after being an accident attorney (ambulance chaser) for 20 years, he "could not begin to see how I saved it".

as a quote from tom cruise in Ricky Business "Porsche there is no substitute"
The thanking Baby Jesus from the Talladega night was a funny title. Have you seen hangover yet? If so you will understand when i say maybe you should have thanked “fat Jesus”
