996 TT or C4S as a Daily Driver

With the prices of the TT dropping recently, there doesn't seem to be much of a $ difference with the C4S, but is it realistic and worthwhile to use TT as a DD?

Seems like the C4S would make a great DD. Also, I think the rear seat is a fraction smaller in TT

hey. i was just going to post the same question. i plan on using mine as a DD and for use a track toy for DE. clearly, the TT is faster. yearly maint and insurance is also more. probably looking at a $10k differential depending on mileage. interior space should be identical....(?)

TT or C4S are great DDs. I have an '02 C4S as my DD and I get to work with a smile on my face every day.

Cool

With the current prices, I'd look for a mint TT. When I bought mine, the TT's were a good 10K higher, just out of my budget.

TT motor uses a different block to handle the extra HP and it is almost bullet proof.

But, if you find the right car, you can't go wrong with either one.

I just picked up a c4s and is good for a daily driver. I have a fully modified BMW 3 series I want to use as my daily driver. I have found myself driving the c4s a lot since I purchased it though. I am going to take that as it being a new experience. I am hoping to get over the every day driving of the c4s and drive the BMW more as the daily driver.

I did about 60k miles in an 04 996tt in about 2 years. It was awesome ad a daily driver and if prices are similar I would go tt in heartbeat.

AND better engine block. I think it would be a no brainer.

Tires and clutch? Should be no differnece.

I drive a C4S as my DD. It's great. I'll be putting the winter tires on in about 6 weeks!

Probably depends on what you can find based on condition and dollars ratio. Both would be great. Personally, I think the biggest advantage of the turbo is the different bottom end which people charactarize as being bullet proof. I have a C4s it was the biggest bang for the buck I could get. Good luck.
