DVD In Dash Screen

Does anyone have any suggestions for an in-dash DVD, CD, MP3 unit?

I saw a Kenwood TouchScreen LCD CD/DVD/MP3 that looked pretty sweet.

Any other ideas? Thanks.

VERY NICE! Most of the newer cars have the climate control higher up. my 01 tt has it down at the bottom as well. There's no cubby, but a set of cup holders that would get removed, or with the AVIC, covered up when in use. Too bad Dimisa77 can't reply to posts (try turning off you anti-virus stuff, close and restart IE, then reply).

the kenwood looks cool as it is fixed but doesn't it cost more as it is not an all in 1 unit as pioneer is, hence it costs almost double?????

I have a Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my land rover. It is by far the BEST available GPS/DVD unit on the market... and its also the CHEAPEST. YES, cheapest is the best! I tried Alpine, and all of the high end units, but I promise you, the AVIC is 10x better than any alpine unit. The only thing the Alpine unit has, that is better, is the screen quality, but thats it.

Well my friend, you are a little biased....The Kenwood does come as 2 units, but BOTH of them cost what the AVIC N1 cost. And if you do NOT want the NAV, then the unit is $800 cheaper then the AVIC N1. The beauty of 2 units is this...You wil NEVER have to put the NAV disc in your head unit everytime you want to use the navigation. Can you listen to your CD while programming your NAV? Nope....And the Kenwood NAV system is FAR better, easier to use, more intuitive and has far more points of interest for more cities. SO no the Kenwood 7015/4100 Nav combo is not twice the cost of the Pioneer. The Kenwood has the best of all options including not have a flip up screen, which is one more thing to break in my opinion.

No offence... but I tried a kenwood system, and it was good, but not as good as the AVIC... and I got my AVIC for 1400 bucks. How much does the two units for the kenwood cost? Also, if you have a CD changer in your car, that feature does not really matter, and if you dont, once you load the address into the unit, the trip is stored in memory, so you can pop the DVD out, and but your favorite rockin' CD in.

Here are some pros for the AVIC:
Easy to use
Touch screen
Voice activated (major plus)
Drive Dinamics (G meter sensor and more)
DVD player
Search address by phone (really cool, you search a phone #, and if its registered, the address shows up)
And the most points of any GPS system

And more...

(Dont forget the optional TV tuner and rear camera)

To each his own, I am very happy with my Kenwood...you can get both units for $1500, yes the TV tuner is available as well as the ability to control iPods from the head unit with titles, hard drive juke box systems, intuitive and comprehensive NAV system, and a very factory look....
