Broke my lip and bumper.....

Ive been driving around for 6 mo without hurting my front end to bad....my luck ran out on some bad tracks...i slowed down like i always do...but the tracks were just to bad...and the car was just to low...

only good thing is my neigbor owns a fiber glass shop and offers to fix it for around $400, instead of going trough insurance...i am going to contact the IL RAILROAD COMPANY, and so if there is anything they will do ...

i know u guys want the pix......

Damn Omar! I had the same problem with my ta bumper when driving by the water side in brooklyn. Car was too low and bumper got killed on a dip in the road. How fast were you going? You can get it repaired but to be honest if you can claim insurance for a new one I would go that route instead. Good luck bro

Sorry to see that happened. It is one of the problems with fiberglass bumpers. With Urethane it might have just been the lip broken and some paint.

wow that sucks...you must have hit it hard.
I'm a bit confused--do you think that the railroad company is going to cover the damage?

How much do the "lips" cost? Mine has seen better days. Pulling into driveways, even at an angle, can scrape it. I figured the lip is a "feeler" (kinda like curb feelers on those old-school caddies). Better to have it get damaged than the fiberglass.

You can get the smaller one like I have from Precision Porsche for ~$150 shipped.
