Spanked me a Vett

We ran from stop sign to stop sign, no faster than mid second gear, we goofed off around 4 stop signs until he turned off.

Nice vett, 2002 to a 2004 model, didn’t sound stock, nice paint and wheels.

He looked aggravated, due to he couldn’t bounce off the line like my C4S.
Once in second gear I would see him in my review view mirror fish tailing.
He put on a fantastic show at each launch, yet couldn’t catch up to the all wheel drive 911 frog.
He waived then turned off.


When I went to the 1/8 mile track, I ran into the same deal.
Big HP cars: give too much fuel … They spin and then they had to catch up.
Try to feather the gas, your too slow and again, had to play catch up.

Catch up is tough to do in a 1/8 mile.

It was a good time cause no tickets.

 

For some reason lately every time i pull up to a light some guy in a beefed up civic or subaru wants to race me (last night it was 4 guys crammed into a WRX w/the *** weighed down)

i refuse to give them the time of day.....

they always seem insulted when i won't race them

It would have been a whole different story had it been a Z06.

 

I wont race or play with kids no matter what kind of car.

This guy was in his 40's and all safety conditions were green for GO.

 

Hmmm ... at that point, its all driver. I still think I would have had a chance. "Me B Good"

I bounced a Lambo 3 times. Richy Rich didnt know how to drive. It wasnt the cars fault, bottom line ... my stock C4S look like a KING.

 

I'd love to figure out how these kids afford these cars and all those mod's.....i have some ideas, but i doubt it would apply to all of them

Maybe it's me, but when i was 16 i could barely pay the insurance on my $500 rusty (and somewhat unreliable) Triumph TR7

There is not an NA 996 or 997 on the road that will see anything but the taillights of a Z06. He wouldn't even have been out of first gear while you were almost through 2nd. Gotta know your competition.

We went last month, cant make it this month. Christmas breakfast party on Saterday.

The month of December is already SHOT.... Not even enough time for a wax job. Grrrrrrr

They are saying it might snow on Friday ... that would be craZy stuff. Glad I have AWD

 

With my top-down C4S coming out of Coffee and Cars at Newport Coast (Orange COunty, CA), a beautiful yellow Lambo pulls up next to me on PCH. He revs up, light changes, he takes off, (and I am very aware of his capabilities) so I give it a little gas, just to hopefully keep up with him, and suddenly he misses a gear, and I fly past him, he pulls to the side of the road and I disappear into the sunrise. Great day! (True Story!)

 

My best P-car story,
Coming home from a great weekend on sunny Cape Cod, I am cruising up Rt 3 at about 75 mph. A guy in a VW pick up, yes a VW, pulls up and starts with the revving of the engine. The truck is painted up like a juke box and I can hear the whine of a super charger under the hood. I drop from 6th to 3rd and hang for a bit and he guns the engine, I do the same and go by in a hundred yards or so and back upto 6th gear. He is somewhat miffed I suppose, so he catches up to me and drops down a gear and starts stomping the gas and pulling ahead and then dropping back. The third time, a loud pop and clouds of billowing white smoke starts pouring out of the tail pipes and he pulls over to the breakdown lane. Several miles later, an Acura full of kids try the same thing, I let them go.
There is no substitute.

ive put the hurtin to a few cars M5,m3, STI, SRT8 Charger, Camaros gsxr600 modded well call this one a draw were neck n neck till we let off he got the jump. oh and i must not forget the mustang GT with 4 mexicans in it and the girls in the back seat laughed at the driver as he got smoked that was a good one.

just remember some guys carry a big hammer in their pocket =) Right H1sp?

 

I spank me a Ferrari. He was stuck in traffic and I blew by in the car pool lane!

 

In a short distance, not even a Z06 will take a turbo, they may have more hp but no way to connect to the ground..
