40th Anniv front bumper...special?

I was just told by my dealer "tech" expert that the 40th Anniversary 911 is the only one ever made with that specific "turbo look" front bumper and that the C4s and Turbo bumpers, while they appear to be the same as the one on the 40th model, are not the same...and that any aftermarket or porsche bumper products for the C4s and/or Turbo will NOT fit the 40th model's front bumper. Can anyone further verify this? Its been hard to get a straight answer. Thanks.

Is 40th ed. a narrow or wide body?
S and Turbos are wide, so their bumper would not fit a narrow body car.

40th is a Narrow Body... Wide Bodies are only Wide at the Back... Everything at the Front from the Doors is all the same....

40th Bumper resolved!!!

Thank you everyone for your input. I have since solved the problem. The OEM part number for the C4s, Turbo, and 40th Anniversary front bumper is exactly the same! So, I guess that answers the question. Oh yes...the dealer called me back and told me he was wrong the first time. At least he was honest about it. Thanks. Steve

All the bumpers are interchangeable (for the most part). At least he got back to you. I have a turbo bumper on my NB 996.

Really cool that the dealer got back to you to correct the mistake...

Also, can somebody confirm that the chassis' are the same at the doors and forward between the wide and the narrow body cars? That's a very cool bit of information to have!
