RejeX - Wiping it Off

I have just applied Rejex to my 996 for the very first time and I concur with many other happy users as to the finish etc of this product.

One thing I did find awkward was when I tried to wipe off the applied rejex. I found it tougher than my standard wax. - Is this normal.

I first applied it to my mirrors and let it dry to a haze then wiped it off - It seemed to buff off with no major issues. So then I applied it to my whole roof area and then when I tried to wipe it off I found it reasonably difficult to remove the haze and in some spots I had to apply a reasonable amount of buffing force??

It seems to wipe off easier on the plastic components (mirrors, bumpers etc) rather than the metal ones.

I found it easier to apply Rejex in smaller patches and not to let it dry too much before removal otherwise it was a bit of a PITA. I thought it was going to be relatively easy to wipe off??

I am using some Meguirs microfibre cloths for the removal. The ambient temperature on the day was around the 25C mark and the car was in the shade and just washed. Any ideas as to what I am doing incorrectly?

it should be very easy to wipe off, I have done it several times and never had a problem.

Was the car wax free first (use Dawn)?

apply vey thin layer, let dry and wipe off

I found that the towel you may be using for wipe off is too fine. When I used Meguiars NXT, I had the same issues. It took me a long time to wipe off, and I had some hazing, and swirl marks. I switched to a cotton terry cloth and i have no issues.

You also may be letting it dry to much. I found that it is dried to much it was harder to remove.

Speaking of Dawn - I washed my car earlier this year with Dawn to "strip" any remaining wax before I tried using Rejex and I couldn't really tell the difference on the paint pre & post wash. The water still beaded extremely well after the wash like my wax was still in full force?

did i not use enough dawn or any other ideas?

If you want the old wax off, you have to clay the car for the best results.
