I was quoted $730 for a dealer installed Porsche SSK.

Any ideas, comments?

 

That is roughly what I'm paying a dealer to do it.

 

Versus $200 for the B&M and 1 1/2 hours of your time...plus the satisfaction of having done it yourself. Very easy install, comes with excellent step-by-step directions and many websites have write-ups on this too.

 

See my post on the "B&M SSK Problems" thread. It's a call each individual must make, but for me the peace of mind is worth far more than $500.

 

Braman porsche in pb was selling the p-ssk units for 300$ on ebay. They don't come with intructions, but it's easy (1hr tops), or you can download the bm instructions. 700 is rediculous, they are taking advantage. DIY, you'll easily be able to get it done.

 

Go with the B&M undercar get it from Brandywine for $199 and dealer will charge 1 hour to put it in....done deal the OEM piece is in car and it is notchy.

 

you need two hex drivers. do it yourself. its take an hour and a half.
