1st CGT review -- the new "CAR" magazine
The new CARmagazine (with the CGT on the cover) has the first 'review' of the car.
It gets some very good marks, but truthfully, didn't get the super-praise I thought it would. They loved it, but faulted its interior-styling, clutch, and on occasion, its ride...
They still said it was all world and that if you could , you should buy one...
There was also a side bar saying the car was slower than the ENZO on the clock tests, but faster around the track (this according to walter rohl -- who said the CGT was faster but only by a tiny bit)
The review left me a little flat. Of course, it is only one and it was 98% positive

"I can't get over the fact that it has the instrumentation, steering column stalks, and steering wheel from the 996. Talk about parts-bin!"
again, the reason for that is to avoid having to crash cgt's to make them legal. i, like most cgt buyers, are happy to share the wheel, column and stalks instead of having the price raised by enough to cover the sacrificial lambs necessary to have changed that minimal and unimportant stuff.
and, that wasn't the first review, this was:
autocar review - a few pics so be patient while it downloads
a couple of the more prominent quotes:
"The 205 mph Carrera GT is the finest road car in Porsche's history".
"This is the first beautiful Porsche in a generation; an Enzo is simply awkward in comparison".
"This is a supercar like no other. More useable, durable and desireable than anything else"
