questions about aero kit

Hi, I've been looking at 02-04 996. I've noticed that the aero kit for this years are missing the front kit. Do they only include the side skirt and spoiler? Are these normal? And if so, why did Porsche decide not to include front? Thanks.

The side skirt and spoiler comes with it. On the front kit, I'm not sure why they don't include it but all I can think of is it's another way for Porsche to extra dough. More options available more money for them....

The factory GT3 Aero kit does have a different front, Its the GT3 Bumper.

The differents with normal bumper are subtle. Check again and you'll see the difference.

If I can pinch in, I think he is aware of that. If I'm not mistaken, he is referring to the little lip which comes with the GT3 bumper on the 996 GT3 MK1. The 996 GT3 MK2 doesn't have that as standard. The little lip on the 996 GT3 MK1 is very little but the optional lip on 996 GT3 MK2 is much larger.

I see, he's talking about the lower lip on the GT3 bumper. Didn't know it came standard on the MK1 Aero?
From what I've read it is a functional piece and settles the front end at higher speeds.

I THINK he is referring to the front lip and not the Carrera bumper compared to a GT3 bumper.

Attached the pics with the front lips.

Yes, that's what I was talking about. Having just the side without the lip makes it look incomplete, imho.
