I would think THAT if the scanner CAN'T reset it....than it is still a problem. So yes it could be a vacuum leak.
I would check the vacuum line that controls the resonance flap...not sure where it is on your car(I have a 997) BUT it has to be close to the airbox (I would think)..
It will be a solenoid(probably grey color) with a wire/plug to it and two vacuum lines.....

Just go to your local automotive supply and get a vacuum hose with small opening and then clamp it to the two broken ends...OR go buy one from Porsche parts.
I do think you may need to remove the plenum and resonance flap to get to the back side of that line(a bit of work)....if you decide to change the whole line!

That is the vacuum line that goes from the solenoid switch to the left of the alternator area to the flap in the take system. The challenge is going to be getting at the fitting on the back side of the intake. You will probably have to take off the airbox, the throttle body and the plenum to have much access to it. You can't really see it as it is on the back side of the intake tube that is behind the plenum. A real pain to get at. I will see if I have a picture of it that might help.

those damn tubes are very brittle from the engine heat...I'd accidently broke mine awhile back..Luckly it was toward the front end..I reattached it with some silicone tube that fits snuggly to the vacuum tube and wrapped it with a rubber casing to prevent it from cracking.... GL with your repair....
