Got lucky today, just a warning
Today after work i was on waiting on a light for a lady to turn right, it took her like 7 seconds (i checked it) and i was like screw it i moved to the left line and made the right turn kinda fast, burning some rubber, but unlucky me there was a friendly cop coming on the other side of the stret, he immediately turned his lights so i just pulled over, it took him like two minutes because of the traffic to move to the other side. I explained that I was sick (which i am, got the flue) and got tired of waiting and that i lived a few blocks away, i gave him my DL and was looking for my insurance and he said - Don't worry i know you have insurance, just don't do it again. Thank you sr officer sr.

best approach with the police is always honesty and apology, they have heard every bad excuse in the world!

Don't start off with, "See...What had hapnd was...." and you should be okay. I recently wasn't so lucky. I got pegged for 42 in a 20 at night on a university campus. There were four lanes in each direction I figured 40 was "safe". Evidently, not the case.
