Exhaust removal help

Hello all. I am trying to remove my exhaust and it seems very straight forward. I am having a hell of a time getting the clamp that connects to the catalytic off since the two carriage bolts are rusted and won't budge. I have used PB blaster and no go.... Suggestions?

lots and lots of PB blaster overnight....warm up the car and get the bolts heated up a little......get a breaker bar that's as long as you can....and tug as hard as you can

I just spray alot of WD-40 on mine..& let it soak for awhile...an extension bar & alot of elbow grease will do the trick..It also help if you jack the car up to have extra clearance.

Cool

You need a compressor and an air gun.

Run it by a muffler shop and have them hit it.

Kind of hard to drive it to a shop with the broken motor mount. Get a big breaker bar and torque that thing off. You may break the bolts, I know I did on one of mine a couple of years back. Replaced both clamps on mine, but you may be able to replace just the bolts. Chicago winters and exhaust systems don't like each other.

I've always found that drinking alot of beer while swearing and screaming at the bolt helps.... Or when in doubt use and air gun

Remember that you will only need to loosen one of the two bolts on each of the clamps to separate the exhausts from the cats.

That saved me when one of the bolts was stuck even after 24h soaking in WD40.

Good luck!
