How long do I have..?

So my brake wear light came on today on my 2000 911... how long (mile wise) do I have left on them? I know i need to change asap..

Not so much of a distance thing...
if you do a lot of hard braking it will be quicker to eat through the pad.

I drove probably just over 100miles with the light on, and the pads still had a bit of meat on them when i swapped them out.

I did 500 miles and then replaced... they still had a lot of meat when I replaced them... manual transmission....

you sure you need pads? do a visual check before replacing. Mine comes on and off all the time pending on water/etc due to a short- but are in perfect shape.

2nd on the visual check - mech told me to replace ... but i had them on 1 more year prior to replacing

Check the pads first. I believe the light comes on when you have about 2.5mm left. That's not a lot of pad. I'd change it pretty soon before you start grinding your rotors.

It could also be low brake fluid. But, this is your car and your life.... fix it!
