If you are savvy around a tool box you can do it. But an understanding of the engine and vacuum lines is strongly recommended.

I can find a good shop in your area that can handle the install if you do not have one.

I had the plenum put on about 6 months ago and I'm very happy with the results. My impression is it helps the most between 4K and redline. You can especially feel it in 3rd and 4th. I have no dyno numbers, but I know what I feel. It also has a different intake sound in the taller gears. As a side note, I have the PSE on the car. I paid in the $800 range if I remember correctly.

hmmmm, that should complement my suncoast headers of which i've seen the dyno graphs (provided by the previous owner) shows improvement from 4k to redline.

they are very nice as well but do not have the power gains that the IPD units have. I also believe that they can only be bought as a kit...I could be wrong.

IPD 996 X51 Dyno Tests

IPD has been hard at work as usual with their continual dyno testing of both new and old IPD products. Here are a couple of dyno charts showing the impressive power gains achieved with the IPD Plenum when installed on a bone stock 2004 996 X51.

As you can clearly see, there are substantial net gains across both power and torque curves over the factory power outputs. The car remained strapped to the dyno during this testing session with car owner present to witness first hand the power gains that IPD claims.

Baseline Max WHP on the stock runs was approximately 297 each time. IPD Plenum Max WHP runs yielded approximately 313. Max power GAINS occured at 6725 RPM and developed 28 HP and 21 foot pounds of torque over stock.

Please feel free to contact us here at BBI to order any of the IPD products. Thanks for everyone's time.

Kindest Regards,
Betim
