Or I should say have the dealer do. They will check the wear of the clutch while they are in there...Is there any difference in clutches? Would buying a clutch kit and giving it to them to install be any different form them installing a Porsche clutch? Anything else?

How 'bout writing up an ad, so you can sell the car with a brand spanking new warrantied motor in it, and upgrade to a newer 911? The timing may never be so good with a 1st gen 996.

Not knocking the car btw, just that I like to cycle through cars, and sometimes it's best to sell right when everything's fresh and perfect at a time like this. Also, you can feel good that the next owner is getting something really solid so it's not a conscience issue.
