Hi!

Can´t answer posts for some reason so I´ll do it this way instead. I have same car as you, with ROW030 + additional lowering.

If you run stock 18 inchers they are 7.5 or 8 wide with 50mm offset at the front and 10 inches with 65mm offset in the back.
The rear rims will take a 285mm tire without probs, but according to my Porsche workshop there isn´t room enough in the rear fenders on a MY -99 for this. It will scrub.
Later models come with 285 rears as stock, but these cars have a different curvature inside the fenders.
Thats what I´ve been told.

Got a new clutch today. Great!

Live well - drive hard!

Not true. I have a '99 C2 and I'm running 285/30-18's on the rear.

Excellent. Will you please tell me what tire size you have on the front? Also, please let me know what size wheels you have (are they Porsche originals or aftermarket?). What tire brand do you have? Finally, do you notice any difference between the 265’s to the 285’s. Thanks for your response.

currently running 225 40 18 on the front ( waiting for them to wear out) and thinking about replacing them w/ 235/245 40 or 35 18. will try both size out and see how it effects the car/handling.

the 285 35 18 on the rear feels good. notice a little more grip.

tires are mounted on SSR GT3 RIMS. 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 10

Will be able to give you better answer next week on handling w/ the 285 on the rear. tracking the cra this w/e.

Great. keep me posted. As soon as winter breaks in the North I need to change my tires. Sounds like the 285 35 18 are the way to go.
