LED Headlights
Omar, you need to first order 1 set as a "sample" before you go any further! I've also been involved in buying many things from Asia & been F'd before!
Yes tarek I know I used to buy wholesale from China all the time , I had a business so I have contact over there that can help ... I don't think these were ever manufactured I think only a few samples were made and they need the funds to produce the lights ... I don't plan on getting screwed lol
I will becareful thanks

I really hope someone in the US takes the bull by the horns and distributes these because they look like they have potential...
I bought a set of W210 E-class from some vendor (not ebay) and so far so good...

fit is good, no problems hooking them up, no problems so far and they look amazing specially considering the price...
I hope there is a painless solution for our 996/986's like this

Anyone else heard any more about these 996 Projector + LED headlights? Also discussed on this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996-vendor-classifieds/234860-996-carrera-test-fit-needed-projector-led-headlights.html

I've been speaking to the manufacture of the lights directly from taiwan , they said they haven't started making them in masses yet , only the few samples they made for fitment and distributers , they said by oct-nov they will start manufacturing and selling.
I'm trying to order 10-20 and get them here in the USA so people don't have to wait months to get them

A recent market survey indicated that continuously dropping prices will boost the sales of LED light bulbs. A good example is the success of LED module based lighting in Japan, where the price LED replacement bulb for 40W incandescent LED Light Bulbs dropped significantly to $18 a piece in 2011.

@pappy, whilst LED may be getting popular in Japan I'd say they far from cheap at least those for sale to the consumer. For my car, I actually buy LED from overseas as the local JP markups are ridiculous.
For my home apt though, they are "reasonable" and I buy those at a local h/w store in Tokyo.

Definitely interested in these as a compliment to LED tails, current ones on the car are fine, but don't want to spend the $$$ for OEM if there is a better solution out there. The needs seem to be: Good looking without being overly flashy or gaudy, updated look without directly copying another product, and at a decent price point. I've had aftermarket headlamps on almost every car I have owned, maybe this is just a smaller market.
that looks god awful
can you open the oem headlights? (as in can u ovenbake the headlights, take apart the lights)?
my buddy is Lightwerkz..they specialize in retrofitting lights - use better projectors and lenses for better output, clarity, better cutoff, and aesthetic color flicker.

LED bulb flickering...dies....flickers....dies :-(
Went through the thread and found some similar cases of flickering LED bulbs but didn't find anyone who actually solved the issue. Hope you could share how you were able to solve the flickering of the white LEDs.
My last white LED bulb on the driver's side assembly is sporadically flickering. Sometimes its completely out but most of the time it's annoyingly flickering. Tried to take out the assembly but couldn't reach the the back part of the bulbs. I thought maybe I could nudge the wires a bit if they got loose. But I think it's impossible to do so. I'm thinking of drilling holes right underneath the defective LED bulb to gain access and just resealing it afterwards. What do you guys think? TIA!
