Wow, this is truly getting funny. Okay, Ducky, trying to prove something? No, not me. I have a 996, you don't, so who's trying to prove what. This is a 996 forum right? I've obviously struck a nerve with you. By the way an "SC" pertains to a 911SC as with a 1978 and a few years beyond - 3.0 litres and fun for tracking in F or G class. Regarding my rhetoric, my apologies and I realize I went over the top. But it did seem you had something to prove. I will admit this, I do like the look of the Supra and as long as they're not "riced out", they're fine, just not my taste. But I really do respect the performance. I'm just totally impressed with the Porsche marque.

Evo, my response to you will follow.

Alamein -- As long as your car is not of Asian origin it cannot be a ricer. You sir, have the pinnacle of cars. Big difference unless you're going for neon and stuff like that. Of course if you did that you should be pulled from your car, have all that stuff removed, hog-tied, whipped (to get your whits back mind you), and taken to some serious therapy. I would be willing to ask for donations for you if that was the case. Just kidding.

Also the lack of Duct tape anywhere on the vehicle and painted(not just primed white) addon body parts contributes a lot to not being a "ricer".

Remember "duct tape is like the force it has it's light and dark side and it binds the universe together" it however has no place on a Porsche or any car for that manner except in emergencies(like fixing a busted hose until you can get to the shop). Racers tape is another story, but then again "Carrera" means race in spanish, so it should be an approved accessory.

Did I also mention my aversion to baling wire and aluminum roofing vent mesh?

Dang, an A4 with 3.0 liters AND a 6 speed!?!?! You've got some serious displacement on me and one more gear, I'm impressed. It's too bad I like the B5 looks better than the B6 and I like the 1.8T motor a hell of alot more than either the 2.8 or 3.0 V6's. It's funny how you are saying I have a "little 1.8T" when you have no idea what mods I have (one of the reasons I like the 1.8T so much, 40 hp and 80 tq for $500) nor frankly anything about Audis, but comparing modded to stock is apples to oranges as they say.

I'm glad you take pride in visiting a Porsche forum AND own a Porsche. I mean what are us other car enthusiasts to do with lesser cars, better check out the ricer boards. If you look on the main page this board actually has places for other makes and models not just Porsches. I do believe the love for Porsche attracts members to this forum but that doesn't mean you have to OWN a porsche. Look at those who have had Porsches in the past and come back to visit the site and others like myself who dream of owning a Porsche one day and in the meantime enjoy reading up on CJV's progress or admiring greyghosts brilliant photography.

Well said, many people come here lurking some own porsches some will own porsches one day...

I hope everyone realizes we love threads like these they just tickle us in the right way we all love to play along. I hope no-one was offended by any of us 6speeders. OK, enough of the mushy stuff....

What mods do you have on the Audi 1.8t? I have a lot of audi friends and have an A6 Avant 3.0 myself, I had an S6 Avant V8, but it had a lot of problems, and I'm not just talking about the normal Ignition Coil issue, so I got rid of that one after about 6 months. For a 4000lbs plus wagon that thing could move though. I should have gotten an allroad(V6 turbo and chipped it) as a replacement for the S6 Avant, but my wife hated the look.

Cheers,
Corey

Rx7's are nice and rare cars. I'm relaxed I wish this forum had more similies to show that.

You have a great combo of cars a m3 for everyday and a porsche for the weekends...happy motoring

Don't worry about it..... relax a little though, most of the people here were just teasing you a bit but that's just our way of saying "hello"....

I used to be a real "ROTOR-HEAD", Yes Mazda RX-7 guy. I loved the high RPMs and endless amount of mods available.... Of course my 996 doesn't really compare with the HP the RX-7 had but the Porsche will out handle it any day of the week.

I'll still say that it was one nice drift-car to own.....

I too like the TT Supra and thought about picking one up just to see if I could bring it up to the 1200 HP range just for kicks.... I've seen one doing eights in the 1/4 and boy was that a sight!!!

Have fun with what you can afford and call it a day!

Sympathy for what? Cuz I own a lowly toyota? btw, I didn't "trick" out my car with twin turbos...toyota already tricked it out for me.

did you get owned by a ricer in the past?? you have so much anxiety towards ricers..dude..get a clue on what a ricer is!!

All this sympathy, gross. At least one in this forum sees through this BS. Now let's have the next guy in the Hyundai or Yugo in here and tell us what a cool car he has too and how he has tricked it out with twin turbos. It's enough that they constantly pull up beside you and rev their engines to the max. I have to laugh at them as well as the faster-than-Porsche-Tricked-out-Supra-that is soooooooo fast.

you got a nice combo of cars as well. I don't mind the teasing, but the Gonz fella seems pretty annoyed by me My freind has a s2k as well, they handle very nicely.

Seriously though, I would not consider a supra TT a ricer car. They can make some serious power and the only car that I ever raced in the 944(when it was street legal) that passed me was a very fast supra. Plus the guy says he loves porsches. Ducky, I do think that they are just teasing you now bro. Just trying to give you a tough welcome

No nerve of mine was touched. If anything, it's kind of shocking how you portrayed me as a ricer, my car being rice, and me trying to prove something when you don't know me.
I am aware that this is a porsche forum, but is there a rule as to being an owner to be on the boards? Please do tell me if there is one.
Listen, lets start over. I'm Ducky. Yes that's my real name. What's your name?

FALSE!! Don't assume that a car HAS to be from an Asian country because the word Rice is used. Even a porsche can be riced out if it falls into the wrong hands. It all depends on the owner who modifys the car. For example, if you put an intercooler looking intake system on a vette, thats not rice? I don't think so~~

Generally, rice is any kind of car that does stupid gay modifications that makes it look fast or makes it look like it has a turbo or whatever when in reality, it doesnt.
