LED Interior Lights

Has anyone changed their interior lighting to LED lights? If so, do you have the cross-over numbers for an equivalent LED?

OK, I'll repost the www.superbrightleds.com type numbers for simplicity:

Trunk light (1pc),
Engine compartment light (1pc) and
Interior dome light (1pc) [6411]:
  • 4410-x9 LED Festoon bulb
Map reading bulbs (either side of dome light) (2pc) and
Step/courtesey lights (in door) (2pc) [2825]:
  • WLED-x6 LED bulb

OK, I've updated the post with the number of bulbs you need of each type. In total you'll need 3 of the first type (or only 1 if you do not want the trunk and engine compartment lights) and 4 of the second type.

Thank you very much good sir! For the WLED's, wouldn't the WLED-xHP6_DAC or WLED-xHP6 be better choices because they emit at 120 and 360 degrees respectivly?

Also, were these just plug n' play replacements or was sodering of special sockets required?

Edit: Just noticed they also have UV lights...isn't UV supposed to be bad for you? Or is it the same stuff as blacklights from the 80's?

Due to the reclined sockets, I do not think these will work.
Just as the: WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED I first planned to use in the door lights does NOT work.

I would use the ones listed in post #5 above, they work very well.

Nope, the sockets are the same. Just plug and play.

Great mod. One more question. What "color" are you guys using? Cool white, natural white or warm white?

I chose cool white, which gives a bluish light that is easily distinguishable from the standard light. I guess natural light would give a more "high tech" OEM look, while warm white will be close to the "yellow" OEM look.

Hey guys - I bought the LEDs as specified. Is there one for the glove compartment box? It seems to be 1/3 smaller than the trunk lights. Also, any tips for taking off the map light cover? I couldn't quite figure it out in my 2 minutes of poking around (didn't want to break anything). thanks!

Map light cover pulls right out. You pull from the from if I remember correctly.
No idea on the glove box...I don't have one.

Go to the superbright website and put in your car info, it will bring up the appropriate bulbs replacement for different areas of your car.
