So okay, I bought a stggered set of 18" wheels for my '01 996 nb. They are 18x8 ET50 front and 18x10 ET65 (5x130 & 71.5 hub bore) Two questions (1) would be the proper tire fitment be fronts 225/40 18 and rears 285/30 18? (2) Will there be any need for spacers?
Appreciate the help, wheels are on the way!

Yes these wheels have OEM offsets and fits perfectly without spacers.

225/40-18 is OEM front tire size for your car. The 285/30-18 rears have approx 2,3% lower circumference than the 265/35-18 which is OEM tire size, they fit perfectly and as a bonus you car will accellerate slightly better due to the reduced rolling distance.

Enjoy the improved accelleration from the near 5% lower gearing your wheel/tire combo provides compared to 19s with 295/30-19 rears (2,6% bigger circumference than OEM)
:-)

Dennis... i like you bud. I dont care what anyone says about you. Wished you were closer to Texas. I'd like to meet up and grab a cold one...it could be a lager or a glass of sweet tea.

Happy 4th of July my friend!

Any modification made for that setup? I recently purchased a '99 C2 cabrio with chromed 18" twists and my mechanic has a set of Techart Formulas for sale with that rear size. Donor car has rolled fender lip but nothing else.
Please comment.

I've lowered the car 1.5 with H&Rs. I only had to roll the rear part of the fender lip.... closest to the bumper. i'd say i rolled it 4 inches up. Nothing major. It will only rub if my kids are in the back and i hit a large dip in the road. I know where they are, so simply avoid them.

Good Luck!

Great, thanks! There's hope of getting rid of the bling soon
That answers my next question on lowering the car.
How's the experience been with The H&R? What shocks you have?

2003 911 Carrera narrow body

Hi Folks! I want to fit 19" oem rims on my car, right now I have stock rims 18x8-50 offset and 18x10-65 offset. I have a friend selling the sport oem wheels that are 19x8.5-(57) offset and 19x11-(67) offset. My question is, would this new wheels fit my car with out any modification and still have the right clearance under my fenders? Some people say they would fit others not sure... I don't fin any information that is tangible about this anywhere. Thank you guys for the advice!

Reviving an 8 year old thread !!! @studiobravo, did you put the Carrera S wheels on your NB? How did it work out?

I'm considering some 19" Lobster Claws from an '05 Carrera S on my '03 Carrera 2. Will this work ok?
