Lost key - urgent

An idiot I am, lost my keys last night at a club and no spare. Is it true that I need to get the car towed to the dealer or can one be ordered, and how much will it run me? The key was the kind with two buttons. Thank you..I'm in Chicago land.

shiiit! you are better off to Contact your Local Dealer and ask them for Advice, but if you can Wait a few days you can get your Keys from Suncoast Porsche for wayyy cheaper by providing them your VIN Number than what your Local Dealer for Charge you...

Get 2 Keys this Time... Get one Normal Key and one Valet Key as Spare...

I've lost -1- key at a time (twice now :-(). At least in Japan, it's an expensive affair. Porsche has charged me approx $530/key. In the US it should be quite a bit cheaper though.

P.S. I think they should have your alarm code from your chassis VIN...i.e. that they should be able to just issue new keys with the same alarm code. That should make it cheaper (although less secure?). Have you moved your car? If not personally I'd say do so ASAP as whoever who found your keys could possibly be running around testing the unlock. Then you'd lose the whole car too!

I certainly hope it's less than that.

Anyone has a link to ordering key at Suncoast? Searching their website doesn't come up with anything.

Wow, great find!
I only have one key, so I've been dreading the inevitable situation that the OP is in.

Question: So if you want a whole new key, you have to buy a new key head and then have that programmed for your car, is that right? Is this a dealer-only job, or are there cheaper options out there for getting the key chip programmed?

thanks!

We don't sell cut keys, but we do sell blank keys which you can have copied by a locksmith.
