opinions for some projects
opinions for some projects
so last week i tore the patellar tendon and cal, seems i won be driving the 6 speed for a while, well i guess its the best time to keep busy with projects...
-so i ordered a set of oem mufflers and a u pipe for the PSE hack (between tubes) Check!
-I then ordered a center console with ash tray delete... Opinion sought! I have both the right silver (GT3 look) and the violet camoflair the millennium is painted, should i go silver or violet?
-thinking that since i have to remove the console, might as well revisit the shifter, lots of people liked the b&M, but i also understand the 997s drops right in and is "not to shabby".... Opinions please...

I would go with the violet over the silver, but then I would change out the ugly orange interior lighting to the maroon red or an off purple to match the color of the console and car.
It sounds kind of silly, but in my old boxster, the car was metallic blue, i had the center console painted to match, then I switched out all the orange lighting for this nice, bright blue lighting so all the switches, the gauge backlight, everything that was the orange lit up blue.
It was absolutely gorgeous and it made the car look so much better to me at night.
Just an opinion, but I hope you get well soon so you can enjoy the warm weather when it comes

B&M shifter is one of the best mod's you can do. I'd go Violet on the console. That way if you have or get a shift **** with the silver horseshoe you will have a nice contrast....see concept below...
very nice, dude.
thanks guys, violet console it is, just got one on bay for cheap, with ash tray delete... Will go with violet for now, change it to silver when i get bored...
+ on the b&M shifter, seems a straight forward install too...

Yep, I also got the B&M shortshift, makes a world of difference. Install requires a bit of disassembly but isn't hard at all.

You swap the bulbs for blue LEDs. You can probably find complete kits on eBay. I personally prefer the stock bulbs. LED blue isn't easy on the eyes at night and besides: I don't drive a Volkswagen...
OK, hold on...uhmmm isn't violet a....like aaahhh a light shade of purple?
Hey at least I didn't say deep shade of pink
No seriously though Mike, are you asking whether it's better to go with a light-purple or silver?
Before you listen to anybody, make sure ya know what their ride looks like... otherwise it'll be like getting a haircut from a bald guy!!!
You're going to end up with a violet dash, blue led's and maybe some nice strobe light under the car!!!
Yeah and don't listen to anyone with a red interior... except for Fly, oh and that Norwegian guy and me and...whooooow I think the Universe is speaking to you... "GO RED"!
I've really got to get me one of those sexy nav. system, this is getting embarrassing
Cheers,
Sid.

the color is the standard violet cromaflair the millennium was painted in, it switches from a purple to a cinnamon to green, the question was to match the console to the outside of the vehicle, or match the silver inside... other than that the car is still very stock (all natural leather brown interior) except the lower door seals which are silver. I think i will keep the lights as they are, i kind like them that way.
